Oxfam Australia works to protect people from disasters and conflict because every human being has a right to live in safety. In the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP), Oxfam Australia is partnering with ABC International Development, CBM Australia and Habitat for Humanity Australia. Through the AHP, Oxfam has received funds for humanitarian responses in Lebanon (in the livelihoods sector) and Jordan (livelihoods) in response to the Syrian crisis, in Nepal (WASH) following the 2017 floods, in South Sudan (food security, nutrition, health, WASH and protection) and in Cox's Bazar in response to the Bangladesh-Myanmar crisis (health, nutrition, WASH, protection and education). Within the AHP Disaster READY program, Oxfam is implementing preparedness activities regionally, in Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Timor-Leste.
